Purpose/Design
Vektor fins are designed to enhance drive, speed, and control in any boards set up: twin-fin, thruster, quad, five fin, and even seven fin. Vektors fin templates add to the feel of a board and transition between different fin set ups. The base of Vektor fins are elongated to increase drive. Vektor's unique rake has a tapered trailing edge to create a natural transition from bite and release giving it a smooth feel.
FCS Base
Vektor Systems is working along with Fin Control Systems (FCS). We are utilizing their revolutionary base design to give you the Vektor System. Add Vektor fins to any board with FCS bases to enhance your performance.
Various Placement
Move the fin up or down to adjust placement of fin to find the sweet spot. Placing the fin closer toward the nose increases maneuverability and will loosen up the board. Place the fin toward the tail it will increase stability and drive. This allows you to customize your board for various wave conditions and styles of riding.
Interchangeable
You can interchange various fin models to increase different factors of performance. Some fin templates are designed to give you more maneuverability, more drive, etc.
Performance
Five fin trailer set up: Use a single vektor fin to the fifth fin position with a quad set up for more control. The trailer fin will keep the tail of the board from being too loose or spinning out in turns. This allows you to push off the tail harder increasing drive through turns without sacrificing the flow and movement typically associated with the quad design.
Thruster plus set up: Add vektor fins to the rear quad positions with a thruster fin to give your board added speed.
Twin plus set up: Adding vektor fins to the side of a twin set up will give the board more stability and drive.
Quad fin stabilizer setup:
Quad setups are faster, have more drive and are looser than a thruster setup. It can be difficult for people to adjust to the difference in the hold of a thruster and the release of a quad. Use a single Vektor fin in the fifth fin position with a quad setup for more stability. The trailer fin will keep the tail of the board from being too loose or spinning out in turns. This will allow you to push off the tail harder increasing drive through turns without sacrificing the flow and movement typically associated with the quad design. The small fin depth will still allow water to flow through the center of the board with little drag, maintaining the speed of the quad.

Thrusters blend the maneuverability of twin fins with the hold of single fins to create the standard in high performance. The only downside to a thruster is in lateral areas of the wave that require more drive to connect to the next sections. Add Vektor fins to the rear quad positions with a thruster setup to give your board added drive and hold. The added fins will allow you to draw and maintain a higher line in the barrel. There is better drive/speed during turns and the double foiled fin design is less prone to cavitate and release allowing the board to hold and ride smoother.
